The Company...
Established in 2000, Atlantic CSP Ltd forms an integral part of the Wells Group. With over thirty years experience in manufacturing helically formed steel pipes for the construction industry, the company has evolved to become a major supplier of CSP (Corrugated Steel Pipe) for storm water retention tanks and culverts; offering the largest range of pipe diameters in the UK. Major capital investment in state of the art production plant and the recruitment of specialised personnel, enables us to provide our customers with value engineered systems.

The Product...
CSP has been successfully installed worldwide for over 100 years, in a wide range of site conditions. The combination of high strength, lightweight and ease of installation make CSP an obvious choice over other systems. Atlantic’s production facility to manufacture any pipe diameter between 300mm and 3600mm enables the designer to value engineer the installation. Because the installer often has to cope with variable site-specific conditions, we offer an extensive selection of fabricated components, such as manifolds, junctions, access shafts and flow control/pumping chambers, etc.
Our standard product is manufactured from G600 galvanised steel, although other specialist coatings are available on request. We produce our pipes in a range of corrugation profiles and steel gauges, depending on the structural requirements. The manufacturing process consists of running steel sheet over a bed of corrugating rollers, after which the corrugated sheet is formed into a helix, at which time the edges of the steel are pressed together into a lock-seam, in order to form the circular pipe. The pipe ends are then re-rolled to change the helical corrugations to annular, ready to accept the coupling band jointing system. During production, strict control under our ISO 9001-2000 quality procedures is maintained, assuring compliance to our BBA certification.

Industry certification...
The Highways Agency classifies pipes which have a diameter larger than 900mm, as buried structures and have produced the Design Manual BD12/01, which specifies the requirements for the structural design and installation of CSP, including product performance and backfill requirements. Atlantic CSP Ltd holds BBA certification to BD12/01 and Quality Assurance to ISO: 9000 2000.
