[culverts / service tunnels]
Galvanised Corrugated Steel Pipes have been installed as culverts and underpasses on road and rail infrastructure for nearly 100 years; their track record and design methodology is well respected within the Civil Engineering Industry.
It is a well documented fact that flexible structures are able to resist backfill and imposed load often in excess of the capability of buried rigid structures. Atlantic CSP offers you culverts in diameters from 300mm to 3600mm in a choice of profiles and steel thicknesses to cope with a wide range of loading requirements, designed in accordance with BD12 Specification. Atlantic Culverts can be supplied with beveled ends to suit the embankment profile, which can reduce the cost of wing walls etc.
We also offer a range of water control devices and access / inspection shafts. Atlantic CSP Culverts are hydraulically designed using the Nomograph system or the Mannings roughness coefficient - the Atlantic CSP Technical Team will be pleased to advise you on hydraulic design and pipe diameter sizing.
Service Tunnels
Atlantic CSP can be installed for interconnecting service tunnels, carrying services between buildings. Our fabrication department can "Fit Out" the tunnel walls with cradles and racking to your specification. Vertical access shafts with ladders make for easy access from surface and puddle flanged connections to the tie in walls ensure water tight connections into the building. Concrete paved walk ways are poured in-situ and sealed with mastic between the corrugated steel wall.
