Both the BBA & Atlantic recognized that existing Certificates for CSP did not go far enough in assessing the “fitness for purpose” of the entire system, existing certification only covers the structural design of the standard pipe production and ignores the fabricated components such as manifolds, bulkheads, access manholes, ladders, Tee & Bend sections etc.
Atlantic has addressed this shortfall, during a five year test programme with the BBA, resulting in a “FIRST” for this type of product, giving you the confidence that when you specify and install Atlantic Storm Water Tanks, you can rest assured that the complete system is fully BBA Certified. MP approves Atlantic’s green approach to 'SUDS'
During his recent visit to our Keighley factory, William Hague MP was able to witness good honest British Engineering at its best. Entertained by our Founder & Chairman Mr. Philip Wells, Mr. Hague was encouraged by the company’s dedication to providing local employment and after nearly fifty years in manufacturing, is still investing in future technology.
Mr. Hague was impressed with our “Green Credentials”, not only in our commitment to the Environment with our approach to sustainable drainage solutions, but also our use of raw materials from re-cycled / re-newable sources.
Mr. Hague learned about the construction industries approach to protecting the Environment from Flood Risk, being a very topical subject, or should we say tropical, given the unusual weather patterns of late. Mr. Hague’s visit was in conjunction with the Bradford Chamber of Commerce, which has been very supportive of the Wells Group. The Atlantic Team (known within the Group as the “A Team”) welcomes Dennis Riley to the post of Atlantic Production Manager. Dennis joined the company in the Spring of 2007 after nearly twenty years experience with another Corrugated Steel Pipe manufacturer.
Over the past two years Dennis has revolutionised a number of the Atlantic operations, streamlining efficiency and Quality. His recent appointment lays testimony to his dedication to the company and to the commitment of the Wells Group to recognize the worth of our staff. Dennis’s promotion comes at a pivotal time in Atlantic’s growth and coincides with the New Factory Extension and the Award of the New BBA Certificate..“My quest is to provide our customers with the best quality product on time”. Storming ahead with new production unit
Yet more proof of our commitment to your business and our confidence in the market growth for Storm Water Management. The Wells Group has invested substantial capital expenditure in Atlantics new Fabrication Unit, which will house all the necessary handling and welding operations to expedite the production of large CSP tank components, in order to meet the demands of fast track construction programmes.
