Legislation under PPS 23 and 25 and Building Regulations H3 for flood risk assessment (SUDS) has created the need for planners and developers to design and install cost effective storm water management systems.
There is an ever increasing demand for source control, pollution prevention and re-cycling of one of worlds most precious resources, good management of which can prevent environmental disasters.
Atlantic CSP offers you the most cost effective & versatile solution to underground storm water attenuation. Our storm water tanks are fully integrated with manifolds, access manholes & ladders, compatible drain connections, silt sumps, and sealed coupling joints, (Coupling joints have been accessed for Air & Water Tightness by BBA in accordance with “Sewers for Adoption” 6th Edition Cl 5.7.4 and 5.7.5.). Atlantic will fit integral Vortex Flow Control Devices or Integral Pumping Stations for high level discharge.
The diameter and layout of each Atlantic storm water attenuation tank is based on three basic parameters;
1) Storage volume, calculated from the hydraulic model of the site including the discharge restriction enforced at planning stage.
2) The upstream and existing outfall drainage levels
3) The available footprint of the location for the tank
Atlantic CSP’s extensive range of diameters and bespoke fabrications offers you an infinite variety of designs to suit every site condition. Integral manholes and compatible drainage connections give total access for inspection and cleaning, unlike 'Many Plastic Cell Systems' that are inaccessible. Factory assembled components and mechanically fitted sealed coupling joints make the Atlantic system simple and quick to install, not requiring geotextiles or geomembranes, under drainage pipes or ventilation systems. Atlantic also factory fit drain connections stubs at any level and angle with a diameter that will fit your chosen drain pipe material, e.g. Clayware, PCC or Plastic.

Atlantic CSP storm water attenuation tanks are probably the most cost effective, maintenance accessible system on the market. Since our launch in 2000, Atlantic CSP has supplied tanks to nearly 300 projects - please feel free to browse our gallery and case studies to see some examples.
Harvesting and Recycling:
In addition to the attenuation, you may wish to consider your storm water as an asset rather than a problem; fully utilised, harvesting and recycling of this precious commodity, can reduce the need for mains supplied potable water, or in the case of a zero discharge restriction, it may be your only option, especially if the native sub-strata does not lend itself to infiltration / soakaway.
In which case the Atlantic tank system can be installed for collection of roof drainage and intercepted surface water run off. Flanged connections can be fabricated for pumped extraction into the grey water filtration system, or irrigation systems. The Atlantic system can be manufactured for a combination of harvesting and attenuation, where integral weirs are placed within the tank to allow both retained storage and overflow discharge, via our vortex flow controlled outlet.
